Thanks for the update I’m a bit surprised that New Zealand taxpayer funding is in the team I’m guessing that’s to try and keep Chinese influence out of Fiji
It’s the Australian Government that has been involved with funding the Fijian Drua.
The NZ government did announce a feasibility study into a pacific Super Rugby franchise a couple of years ago now I think. If any of that funding has gone towards a Super Rugby franchise I’d expect it would have gone the way of Moana Pasifika considering NZ relations with Fiji compared to Samoa and Tonga.
