Pro14 2020-2019 Make Up 3 Predictions

The Pro14 is continuing to play catchup with the games that have been postponed due to COVID. This weekend there are just 2 games and hopefully that will make my predictions more accurate…..

Benetton Rugby v Munster Rugby – Munster Rugby by 7

Munster have had a poor time of it over the inter provincial games losing 2 out of their last 3 games. However they are facing much easier opposition this weekend. Benetton haven’t won a game all season. Sure they were hampered at the beginning of the season with their internationals being away for so long but that can’t be used as an excuse all season.

The only real question should be “what’s the margin going to be?” However could Munster be overly complacent with this game? They are already effectively in the Pro14 final as they are 11 points ahead of Connacht and this season there’s no semi finals.

They probably will be a little complacent but I can’t see them being so complacent that they’ll lose this one.

Scarlets v Leinster Rugby – Leinster Rugby by 15

Whilst Leinster have their fate in their own hands it’s not such easy sailing for them. The 3 extra bonus points that they have than Ulster means that they are in the driving seat. However they are going to have to keep on winning due to that upset loss to Connacht.

Scarlets are up and down all over the place. Winning away in Connacht but losing at home to Edinburgh and Cardiff. I’ve been finding them impossible to pick so luckily this weekend they are up against a banker.

Leinster have to win this one to keep them on track for the Pro14 final. With another game against Ulster coming up on the 7th of March, a bonus point would also be handy. If they can build up a buffer with bonus points so they can’t be knocked off the top by Ulster in that game, well that would be a good position to be in.

Record So Far

I’m 39 from 58 or 63%, I’m having a shocking season, can we stop it now please?
