Gallagher Premiership 2020-2021 Round 3 Predictions

Ah well is was going to happen sooner or later to the Gallagher Premiership. Yup their first game to be postponed due to COVID has happened. Considering everything that’s been going on to get this far without a postponement has been an achievement.

Bath Rugby v London Irish – Bath Rugby by 5

Bath have had a tough start to the season but you need to remember that their 2 losses have come against the 2 top teams in the league. London Irish certainly aren’t in that category and so this should be the kind of tie that helps Bath get their season on track.

Harlequins v Bristol – Harlequins by 7

This should be a cracker of a game, whatever the result I’m expecting it to be high scoring. I’m going with home advantage in this one as both of Bristols wins have been at home and I just feel they are a better home side. Quins funnily enough have had their 2 wins on the road but that home loss was to Exter…..

Exeter Chiefs v Gloucester Rugby – Exeter Chiefs by 30

Exeter have won all their games so far this season by large margins and I can’t see this weekend being anything different.

Northampton Saints v Worcester Warriors – Northampton Saints by 3

Bottom 2 in the table and this already has wooden spoon decider feel to it. It’s not quite that important but it is a big game for these 2 sides. Will there be relegation at the end of the season? Who knows but best not to be in that situation. Saints are desperate for the win and were close against Bristol last round, I think they’ll go one better this weekend.

Sale Sharks v Wasps – Sale Sharks by 5

Another cracking game this weekend. 2 sides that pre-season were expected to be towards the top end of the table. Both not really starting with that form though. Sales wins have been over Saints and Irish and not by big margins. Wasps have lost 2 of their opening 3 games. Both sides been to start putting a run of results together and I think home advantage should see Sale home.

Newcastle Falcons v Leicester Tigers – Postponed

Falcons have been going so well they would have wanted to keep that momentum going. For Tigers though they need a reset and maybe something like this will help them get their season on track.

Record So Far

8 from 18 or 44%, OK I have no idea what’s going on let’s be honest.
