Before I get onto my round 12 predictions there’s a mid week catch-up game from round 11. Castres will be hosting Brive. 2 teams at the wrong end of the table fighting for survival so this will be a humdinger. Even though they also have games this weekend they will be all in on this one as it’s against one of their near rivals.

Surprisingly they both won last time out and that was on the road! So much for home advantage being all important in the Top 14. Even with those recent results I have to go with the home side but not with a lot of confidence.

Here are my Top 14 Round 12 Predictions:

La Rochelle might have lost their last Top 14 game but they are top for a reason. Also whilst Montpellier did upset Clermont last round they aren’t going well so surely it’s a home win?

Brive will be knackered with their mid-week game against Castres also Lyon are on a 5 game winning streak so it’s madness to pick against them.

Casters like Brive will be knackered after their mid-week game. Normally I’d go with the home side in this one but with a short turn around this is a great opportunity for Bayonne.

Pau are in a nose dive and I don’t know what it’s going to take to pull out of it. 3 wins and a draw in their first 5 games had them looking good. However 6 losses on the bounce since then has seen them plummeting down the table. Stade will be looking for a good away win here.

Big TBP win for Racing against Agen who are still winless is an easy pick. Toulouse will have a tougher game against Bordeaux but again at home it should be a comfortable win for the team second in the table.

Toulon v Clermont is interesting but again I’m going with the home side as Toulon are 5 wins from 5 games at home. Clermont have picked up wins on the road and they will be stinging from their first home loss of the season last timeout to Montpellier. Still Toulon at home is a banker.

La Rochelle v Montpellier La Rochelle by 7
Brive v Lyon Lyon by 5
Castres v Bayonne Bayonne by 3
Pau v Stade Francais Stade Francais by 7
Racing 92 v Agen Racing 92 by 15
Toulouse v Bordeaux Begles Toulouse by 7
Toulon v ASM Clermont Auvergne Toulon by 7

Record So Far

Over all I’m 48 from 70 or 69%, not great but still good enough for top 10% in SuperBru.com.
