Cell C Sharks v Phakisa Pumas – Cell C Sharks by 10
The Sharks started Super Rugby unlocked brightly but had a couple of close wins to finish it off. Beating the Griquas by only 1 point is a little worrying. However the Pumas are the kind of side that the Sharks need to get back on the horse as it were. Should be a comfortable moral boosting home win.
Griquas v Xerox Lions – Xerox Lions by 20
How the Griquas would have wished to have had a game postponed then cancelled due to COVID. At leats that way they would have had a draw. The Lions have missed the most games and you’d expect training too. However they shouldn’t have too much trouble against the Griquas this weekend.
DHL Western Province v Vodacom Bulls – Vodacom Bulls by 7
The Stormers jerseys go back into the cupboard and the Western Province ones come out. Funny how you have the same side with a totally different name in the same(ish) competition….
Anyway to the game its self. The Bulls have been the standout side this season and have taken the Super Rugby Unlocked Trophy. They’ll be looking to add the Currie Cup to that. With their record this season it’s had to pick against them.
Bye – Cheetahs
The Cheetahs get a breather and will be working on their away form. So far they are 100% at home and 0% away…
Record So Far
14 from 18 or 78% so far, I’m improving and now we have the name change I’m sure I’ll do even better!
