The The Rugby Championship is anyone’s to win. All the teams are on the same points with 2 games to go. There are arguments for each of the teams being in the box seat at this stage. It could be all but over this weekend with a big ABs win or the Pumas could put themselves in the box seat with one round to go.
Argentina v New Zealand – New Zealand by 3
I know that I keep going back to this but we saw at the Rugby World Cup how difficult it is playing back to back big games. The Pumas have already played 2 really big games back to back with fantastic results. Moral in the camp will be flying high. But also fatigue has to be starting to set in.
One thing you can be sure of is that they will come out with passion and also plenty of niggle. They’ll feel that they can get under the skin of this All Blacks side and put them off their game. It’s not going to be pretty.
This has become a must win game for Ian Foster’s side. Back to back losses is something that the fans back home have not experienced in many years. 3 back to back losses is unthinkable and would out massive pressure on the coaching setup going into the off season. There’s no next week to sort things out, the next international games are going to be July at the earliest.
I think a mixture of fatigue for the Pumas and desperation for the All Blacks will mean we have revenge on the cards but not by a big score.
Record So Far
1 from 4, absolutely shocking but there have been some real surprising results. We’ve had a first ever win for a side and also a draw.
