Round 6 of the Pro14 and we have our 4th game postponed due to covid. With countries going into lockdown around Europe I think we’ll be seeing quite a few more games postponed.

Connacht Rugby v Scarlets – Connacht Rugby by 7
Connacht’s last 2 games have been victims of covid. So there’s no excuses for them being tired, but they might have lost some of their match fitness. Either way this is a good game to get back into the swing of things.
Scarlets have won 2 games this season but they have both been against Italian sides that are having a shocking season. This one looks like a home win to me.
Munster Rugby v Ospreys – Munster Rugby by 15
Munster have started with a perfect record and are another side that will have rested players after not having a game last weekend. Interestingly Ospreys have come against the 2 Scottish sides. Clearly 2 sides impacted heavily by international call ups.
Sure Munster have their fair share of players away but they have the depth to cope with that and this should be the second Irish provincial win of the weekend.
Zebre Rugby Club v Ulster Rugby – Ulster Rugby by 10
I’ve already talked about how the Italian teams are having a shocking season. They clearly aren’t helped by international call ups for Italy only coming from 2 teams.
Hosting an inform Ulster who haven’t lost yet this season really isn’t what Zebre need right now. So a third Irish provincial win.
Cardiff Blues v Benetton Rugby – Cardiff Blues by 7
Well an Irish province can’t win this one. Cardiff started brightly enough with 2 big wins but 3 losses on the bounce since then really has dented their season. Hosting Benetton though should help them get their season back on track.
With other teams in conference B also having “mixed” starts to the season, Cardiff could open a little gap in second place.
Leinster Rugby v Edinburgh – Leinster Rugby by 15
Back to an Irish provincial win here folks. Leinster have started this season where they left the last one off. That’s right, winning all their games.
Edinburgh have improved to win their last 2 games after losing their opening 3. However that run is going to come to an end in Dublin.
Glasgow Warriors v Dragons – Postponed
The postponed games are starting to rack up and it could lead to a busy second half of the season for a couple of clubs.
Record So Far
I’m 19 from 27 or 70%, not a bad start but need to improve.
