It’s back to domestic action for the French after a 2 week European break. Amazing to think that last season hasn’t really finished yet and we’re 3 rounds into the next season.

Here are my Top 14 Round 3 Predictions:
I’m going for all home wins this week, which might be a bit crazy with the impact of fans taken out of the equation. I’m comfortable that Stade, Clermont, Toulouse and to a lesser extent Montpellier should pick up comfortable home wins.

Lyon I’m less confident about as they have started poorly and we’ve not seen much of Bordeaux yet this season. Also whilst Brive should win at home, Pau are one of the better travelling sides. But are they really 3 wins on the trot good?
Finally La Rochelle with a home win over Racing 92. This one is more about the European Champions Cup than the Top14. I think that will have taken a toll on the Paris team. Also they might be resting players for the final against Exeter in a couple of weekends time.
Stade Francais v Bayonne | Stade Francais by 10 |
Lyon v Bordeaux Begles | Lyon by 3 |
ASM Clermont Auvergne v Agen | ASM Clermont Auvergne by 10 |
La Rochelle v Racing 92 | La Rochelle by 3 |
Brive v Pau | Brive by 3 |
Montpellier v Castres | Montpellier by 5 |
Toulouse v Toulon | Toulouse by 10 |
Record So Far
Over all I’m 8 from 13 or 62%, improving which is good to see.
