Super Rugby AU cracks on and here’s my quick predictions.

I’m testing my Super Rugby picks against the TAB in my series DrivingMaul v The Bookie. Check out how I did in Super Rugby restart Round 6.

Western Force v Rebels – Rebels by 10

The Force have started well in their games and then faded. Last weekend that came early! Is being based away from home on the east coast starting to have an affect on the team? They are going to need to be at full gas for as long as possible this weekend as the Rebels are starting to hit their straps.

I had the Rebels down to finish second in this competition before things kicked off. My belief in that took a big hit in their opening two games. However they got a good win over the Waratahs last weekend and might be coming into some form….

Brumbies v Reds – Brumbies by 7

This is the big clash in Super Rugby AU. The two undefeated teams going head to head. The Brumbies came into this as the tournament favourites and they have duly won 3 from 3. A couple of bonus points a long the way have helped them to a 4 point lead at the top of the table.

The Reds have surprised me. I didn’t think that they would be challengers. That’s where they find themselves though after 3 games that have seen 2 wins and a draw (even with Super Time). However I think this weekend will be a wakeup call as to how far they have to go before they are real challengers.

Bye – Waratahs

The Waratahs are a mess, they really could do with several weeks off to try and fix things! They only have the one so they better use it wisely!

Record So Far

6 from 8 or 75% so far, another perfect weekend has improved my % and I’m starting to feel happy about it.
