Super Rugby AU cracks on and here’s my quick predictions.

I’m testing my Super Rugby picks against the TAB in my series DrivingMaul v The Bookie. Check out how I did in Super Rugby restart Round 5.

Waratahs v Rebels – Rebels by 3

This really is two teams that are a bit of a mess at the moment. Which one will turn up and look like the sum of their parts?

They both have decent teams on paper but aren’t putting it together on the grass. It’s a bit of a coin flip but I just can’t back the Tahs.

Western Force v Brumbies – Brumbies by 7

The Force will put in a full blown effort performance but they just don’t have the cattle to beat the most professional team in Australia. There are some good players joining them but they’ve just not had time with the team and that will show over 80 minutes.

The Brumbies have ben muddling through and need a performance to go with the results. Losing their fist choice flyhalf for the rest of the season is a big loss and we’ll get to see what the depth is like in the squad. It’s untested so it’s going to be interesting.

Bye – Reds

The Reds have had a great start to Super Rugby AU. They’ll be using this week off to prepare for their biggest test which will be a visit to the Brumbies next weekend.

Record So Far

4 from 6 or 66% so far, 2 correct from last weekend have helped to up my percentage.
