Welcome to this week’s candid look at DrivingMaul as a business. A big welcome to TheRugbae and Mike who joined up as Supporters this week.
The beginning of the Super Rugby season boost to supporters looks to have come to an end. If you’re on twitter and could retweet the below tweet that would be much appreciated.
Global Rapid Rugby
The China Lions are going to be playing three of their five homes games in the Bay of Plenty. I’ve been in touch with the BOP media manager and should be able to get media accreditation for the below games:
- Sun 29th March – China Lions v South China Tigers – Taupo
- Sun 3rd May – China Lions v Fijian Latui – Rotorua
- Sun 17th May – China Lions v Manuma Samoa – Rotorua
There’s also a pre-season game on the 7th of March but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to make that one.
Thank you to Simon who pointed out that these games were going to be in New Zealand.
Up Coming Videos
Bernard Jackman and I have tried three times to record this video about club rugby in Ireland and how it’s part of the professional pathways. Hopefully I’ll get to record it next week.
Also “A Scrummaging Guide For Armchair Fans” is still on the cards with the Hawke’s Bay scrummaging coach. It looks like I’ll have to drive down there for that one though so if you know anyone who could put me up for the night that would be amazing.
Super Rugby Prediction League
SHARD is back on top! Margin points are really hurting my standings!!!
I’m moving back into my rented room after seven weeks in an AirBNB with my mum and dad. It doesn’t help that the owners of the plot behind the house have decided to build a house there. It’s going to be noisy during the day so I think it’s back to the library for me!
Still trying to sell the house up in Auckland and the longer it takes the less I can afford in Hamilton as prices are going up. All very stressful.
Also with mum and dad here the hunt for a part-time job has taken a back seat so I need to get on to that next week.
Thank you so much for being supporters of DrivingMaul it does mean the world to me.
Cheers Paul aka DrivingMaul
