Gallagher Premiership 2019-2020 Round 11 Predictions

This round means that we are reaching the halfway point in the Gallagher Premiership! A part from Exeter at the top and Saracens at the bottom the table is still in a massive state of change. With the 6 Nations on it’s a time when some sides can really make a charge, whilst others are in damage limitation mode.

Wasps v Saracens – Saracens by 10

Last weekend I made the mistake of thinking that Saracens wouldn’t be motivated in the league. Well they went and won so I’m not going against them again. Especially not when facing Wasps who are in all sorts of trouble.

Sale Sharks v Leicester Tigers – Sale Sharks by 5

Leicester do look to have turned things around with only one loss in their last four games. However this is against third in the league and even tough Sale came up short against Saracens last weekend, they are much better at home. Sharks at home to power over Tigers for me.

Bath Rugby v Harlequins – Bath Rugby by 5

Two sides who are as much up as they are down. Very tough to call but you have to go with home advantage. Bath are 4 from 5 at home whilst Quins have only won once on the road.

London Irish v Gloucester Rugby – London Irish by 3

Back to back wins for Irish and everyone is suddenly taking notice. It’s funny but being at home might actually work against them! Three wins and a draw on the road whilst only one win at home

Gloucester though are another of those sides that can’t travel. Only one win on the road all season and that was on the opening weekend. Maybe this is one of those where it’s which team want’s to lose it the least???

Bristol v Worcester Warriors – Bristol by 10

Bristol might be in fourth but they have only one more win than Worcester down in ninth. However Bristol are on a roll with back to back wins. Worcester on the other hand only have one away win all season and are on a run of three losses. The removal of the relegation threat has not helped them.

Exeter Chiefs v Northampton Saints – Exeter Chiefs by 7

Maybe it’s because I’m an Exeter fan, however it feels like this is the game where Exeter open a lead at the top of the table. They could be two wins clear at the top of the table and that would take some closing in the second half of the season.

Saints really have stuttered after a good start to the season. Back to back home losses to Irish and Bristol really have burst their bubble. This is the worst game for them in this situation and could be a serious morale denter.

Record So Far

36 from 60 or 60% correct, not helped by a shocking 2 from 6 in the last round.
