The Rugby Championship 2019 Round 3 Predictions

Well round 2 of The Rugby Championship certainly gave us some thrilling rugby with that draw in Wellington. The other game wasn’t so great but you can’t get everything all the time. This is the last round of a shortened Rugby Championship with South Africa in the driving seat.

Catchup with what happened in Round 2 with the DrivingMaul Round 2 Review.

Before we get onto the predictions here’s how the DrivingMaul Supporters prediction league is looking. I’m going to take a lot of stick from Steve (Cornflake) when he’s next on the show. He is top by the narrowest of margins, only TDM as the difference. I can’t remember that it exactly stands for but basically how close the picks have been no just if they are right.

I have a series “DrivingMaul v The Bookie” where I’ll be tracking all my picks as bets on the rugby. Check out how I did against the TAB in the last round.

Australia v New ZealandNew Zealand by 15

Bledisloe Cup game 1 is this weekend in Perth. At the beginning of the season Hansen said that he’d be going full guns for these 2 games. It’s going to be really interesting what selections we see for both sides. I think we are going to see a much closer to full strength All Blacks side. I don’t think that the Wallabies candy anything else really as they look to gain some momentum heading towards the Rugby World Cup.

The last time that the Wallabies beat the All Blacks was back in 2015, yup another Rugby World Cup year. Will history repeat its self? I don’t think so.

I will be Live on YouTube straight after the final whistle with post match reaction.

Argentina v South Africa – Argentina by 3

I’m probably going against the flow with this prediction. There’s a lot of good feeling behind the Springboks but will they rest a few players for this one? Last year the result was Argentina 32-19 South Africa. I can’t see a margin that big but this Pumas side are due a win. However they were looking tired in Australia in the last round. Have they had too much rugby this season with the Jaguares and now Pumas?

I will be Live on YouTube straight after the final whistle with post match reaction.
