Pro12 2016-2017 Round 10 Predictions

With the internationals behind us it’s time for the celtic nations along with Italy to concentrate on domestic matters again. Here are my round 10 predictions.

First here is a link to my roundup of all the action from around the globe last weekend.

How did your round 9 predictions go?

4 from 5, just the 1 wrong in a shortened round.

Here’s my 60 second predictions, for the reasoning behind it read below.

Ospreys v Edinburgh

Ospreys have really impressed me this season and last weekend got a good victory away to Glasgow as both sides were missing key players. Edinburgh shouldn’t be as much of a challenge this week as they are a poor travelling side and even lost at home to Zebre recently. So this should be a comfortable home win.

Glasgow Warriors v Munster

Glasgow have predictably had a poor November as they lose so many players to Scotland. Many of those players will be needing a rest now and so I don’t think they will all come straight back into the side. Munster have been on a fine run of form including the nilling of Ospreys. This has taken them to the top of the table and I think that they will pick up a valuable away win here.

Connacht Rugby v Benetton Treviso

Whilst Connacht are still in the bottom half of the table they have shown some signs of life recently. At home they are on a 4 game winning run and the visit of Treviso should just elongate that.

Zebre v Scarlets

Zebre must be the most unlucky team in the Pro12, they had a second game postponed last weekend when Ulster had a frozen pitch. After losing their opening 3 games Scarlets have had a perfect record of 6 wins. So Zebre don’t get any luck with the schedule either and this should be an away win.

Cardiff Blues v Ulster

Cardiff Ulster should be another good game. After a great opening to the season Cardiff have faltered and early comments that they could challenge are looking overly optimistic. Ulster similarly are in a slump of form so this will be a good moral boost for 1 of the sides. I’m backing the home side to win here.

Cardiff Blues by 3

Leinster v Newport Gwent Dragons

This is 1 of those easy Pro12 games to call, it’s Leinster all the way. They might have lost last weekend and Dragons have won their last 2 games but still I can’t see anything but a home win here.
