Weekend Rugby Review – 6 June

It’s been possibly the quietest weekend of rugby all year! That doesn’t mean nothing was happening as we still had Top14 and ProRugby action. Here’s my weekly round-up.

Grenoble 14 – 53 Toulouse
Toulon 44 – 3 Bordeaux Begles
Racing Metro 92 40 – 25 Montpellier
Brive 46 – 10 Section Paloise
Agen 23 – 19 US Oyonnax
Clermont Auvergne 57 – 8 La Rochelle
Castres 35 – 14 Stade Francais

I don’t publicly post my predictions but I do try predicting the Top14 results every week. I’m amazed that I closed out the season getting the last three rounds totally correct! Anyway this all means that Clermont finished top and along with Toulon booked semi-final spots. Montpellier, Racing, Toulouse and Castres will go into the qaurter-finals. Oyonnax and Agen were relegated a long time ago.

San Diego 23 – 24 Denver

Denver were passed all the way but held on to their unbeaten record and are now 6-0 topping the table. It did go as per the public vote but it was close. San Diego remain second 6 points back.
