There are only three more rounds to go before we get to the playoffs. Do we have our final four already or can one of the chasing teams catchup? Here are my round 20 Pro 12 predictions.
First here is a link to my round-up of all the action from last weekend.
How did your round 19 predictions go?
4 from 6, an average performance picking wise as the Scarlets are stumbling at the wrong end of the season.
Leinster v Edinburgh
Both these sides are fighting it out for the playoffs, Leinster are looking for a home semi-final and currently top the league. Edinburgh are making a late run for fourth place. Leinster though haven’t lost at home all season and Edinburgh have lost their last two games in Ireland. All that points to the end of Edinburgh’s hopes of making the playoffs.

Ospreys v Benetton Treviso
Ospreys have had a blip recently that has seen them drop below Cardiff in the table. This weekend is an easy TBP win to help close that gap before the two Welsh sides meet in the next round.

Scarlets v Glasgow Warriors
Scarlets have been at the top end of the league all season. Four wins since the turn of the year though has seen them slip back into fourth and in danger of missing out on the playoffs. The Warriors are doing it in reverse, struggling earlier in the season and having several games postponed they have sat in mid table. A run of seven wins has seen them climb into third places and fighting for a home semifinal. Form is with the away side and I’m backing them to win too.

Zebre v Ulster
This is another easy one to call with it being a TBP win for Ulster as they chase Scarlets for the fourth playoff place.

Connacht Rugby v Munster
Connacht are the other side that have been at the top of the table all season. The importance bonus points is clear as they still sit in second even though, like Scarlets, they have lost six games. Munster like Edinburgh need to win this game to maintain their playoff chances. Munster have just come up short all season and I think we are going to see that again as Connacht bounce back from their Challenge Cup loss in France.

Cardiff Blues v Newport Gwent Dragons
In years past this one would only be about pride. Cardiff though are still in with a shout of top 6 and a Champions Cup place. Dragons can be expected to rest players for the Challenge Cup semi final which is their only hope of a Champions Cup place. With Dragons not having won away in the league and Cardiff with more to play for I’m going for a clear home win.
