This weekend the Pro12 takes advantage of it being a rest week to catchup on a couple of postponed games. Here are my predictions.
How did your round 17 predictions go?
5 from 6, the one upset I picked didn’t happen.
Cardiff Blues v Munster
This game has become a must win for Munster as was shown when @RugbyScribbler asked me to include it in the Popup #RugbyChat we had this week. Cardiff have been able to ambush some sides at home recently including Ulster and Edinburgh so this is not the foregone conclusion you might think. Munster are in this position because they have been inconsistent and will now know that all games are important if they are to qualify for the Champions Cup. Them not making it would be a disaster for the side so I think we’ll a high level of intensity and away win.

Glasgow Warriors v Leinster
The intriguing game of the round sees the reigning champions take on one of the perennial contenders. Warriors have found it tough with the number of international call ups. They will be very aware that they need to win their two postponed games to climb up into the playoff positions. Leinster have only lost three games all season but they have all been away. From the press you would have thought they were going much worse but that have been in Europe. If they win this game they will go top of the table but there isn’t the same pressure for the win that Glasgow have. With that pressure in mind I’m going for a narrow home win which matches public opinion.
