With only 1 point separating the top 4 teams these next games during the 6 Nations can be critical for a team having a good or bad season. Here are my predictions for the Round 15 games.
How did your predictions go last week?
4 from 6, I did say that Cardiff lose these type of games and didn’t follow through with the thought.
Benetton Treviso v Newport Gwent Dragons
Until last week it was easy predicting Treviso games as they lost them all. Then Cardiff Blues did a very Cardiff Blues thing and lost in Italy. That will have done the world of good for their confidence and this week they face another Welsh side. Dragons have won four games this season but they have all been at home. So it makes this bottom of the table clash hard to call and I’m going for a narrow home win.

Ospreys v Edinburgh
Ospreys look to be over their early season issues and have strung some good results together even if they have been arguably better away from home. Edinburgh have had an up and down season with most of those downs on the road. The only win outside of Scotland has been against Treviso. So this is looking like a good home win for Ospreys.

Glasgow Warriors v Munster
Glasgow, who are last seasons champions, have had a rocky season. They lose so many players to international duty that they were bound to suffer at this part of the season. Even with a full squad they have been unable to get a win since late November. Munster have been scraping along and their disastrous European campaign drained a lot of confidence from the squad. With only one of their wins not giving the opposition a LBP, I’m expecting a close away win due to Warriors loss of players.

Cardiff Blues v Leinster
Just when it looked like Cardiff had found some form in stringing four wins together they go and lose at Treviso. I have no idea what’s going on there and either that will have drained all confidence from them or they comeback saying we won’t stand for this. Leinster have actually been better playing their younger players than their experienced ones some times this season. So in a perverse way the loss of players to Ireland might be a good thing. With Leinster pushing for the top of the table they should pick up an away win here.

Zebre v Connacht Rugby
Zebre do have four wins but two were against Treviso and another hosting Cardiff Blues who don’t like Italy for some reason. Coming off the back of two losses they have to host one of the table toppers. Connacht have been impressive this year even if they are still missing their flyhalf to a water slide injury. So this should be a relatively comfortable away win.

Ulster v Scarlets
Ulster have managed to string some good results together after a start to the season that seemed to alternate between winning and losing. Scarlets have been the opposite having lost some consistency recently. The voting on Twitter is very clear that public opinion is with a the home side and this week I have to agree.
