The weekend before European games can be tricky as some teams will rest players. Even so here are my predictions.
How did last week’s predictions go?
5 from 6, Connacht did better than I expected.
Cardiff Blues v Connacht Rugby
This is a fairly simple one to call. Blues haven’t won since the opening weekend of the season against Zebre. Add in the injury to Sam Warburton and they are in a poor place. Connacht on the flip side are on a run of 6 wins in the league and getting lots of plaudits for their style of play.

Ulster v Edinburgh
This is one of the harder games to call as both sides have been a bit up and down. If look a little closer though and Ulster have won all their home games and Edinburgh’s only away win was to Treviso. So I’m going with a close home win.

Benetton Treviso v Scarlets
Another simple one, Treviso have lost all their games this season. Scarlets have been one of the surprise packages with only 1 loss. I’m still not expecting too big a win as Scarlets have only picked up 1 TBP so far this season.

Glasgow Warriors v Leinster
The game of the round and the one I asked people their opinion during the #RugbyChat. Clearly the general opinion is siding with a home win. This week I’m in agreement but I think it’s going to be tight.

Newport Gwent Dragons v Munster
Dragons are another of those teams that’s been struggling this year. Their 2 wins have been against Italian opposition. Munster aren’t the team of old but are still at the right end of the table and should pick up an away win.

Zebre v Ospreys
Both these sides have hard poor starts to the season. Zebre have proved to be the better of the 2 Otalian sides this time around. Ospreys though beat Zebre 2 rounds ago and are looking much better with their international players back. It should be an away win as Ospreys continue their climb up the table.
