#RugbyChat – 3 November

We talked about the Rugby World Cup final and the domestic competitions that are going on. Here are some of the best bits.

Welcome to #RugbyChat I’ll be your host for the next hour, please RT the Qs & use #RugbyChat so everybody can see your comments #RugbyUnited

Q1 What is your favourite memory or moment from the #RWC2015 final? & when did you know the #AllBlacks were going to win it? #RugbyChat

Some knew it from the start and others were only comfortable at the end.

Q2 How much were #AUS hurt by those early injuries and how much of an impact did it have on the result? #RugbyChat #RWC2015

Yes it had an impact but not one that was going to change the course of the game.

Q3 Where do the #Boks stand after losing to Japan but bouncing back to come 3rd overall? #RugbyChat #RWC2015

The overall feeling was that they have the players but there are questions over the game plan.

Q4 Turning to domestic matters, are we just seeing slow starts or the impact of #RWC2015 on some teams? e.g. Toulon, Bath, Saints #RugbyChat

Clearly the Rugby World Cup has disrupted preparation but there are also other issues involved.

Q5 With the 4 Irish provinces in the top 5 of the #Pro12 are we going to have another Irish dominated season? #RugbyChat

The feeling was so but with Glasgow and Scarlets also in the mix.

Q6 With @LeicesterTigers good start are they going to defy their critics as a good collective having lost some household names?

People were very positive about Tigers prospects after some down season predictions.

Q7 We are running out of time, what’s your call for the big game of the weekend @SaintsRugby v @Saracens? #NORvSAR #RugbyChat

I’ll be posting my predictions soon but it’s safe to say I was surprised by the backing for Saints.

Thank you for joining in with a great #RugbyChat we’ll do it all over again at the same time on Tuesday next week
