#RugbyChat – 27 October

We talked about the Rugby World Cup finalists and the domestic competitions that are going on. Here are some of the best bits.

I’m sorry that with the clocks changing that this is now earlier in the UK.

Q1 #ARG lost key players to injury and it’s been a theme of #RWC2015, has the game become too brutal? #RugbyChat

The feeling was that this was part of the game and that sides just got unlucky or that conditioning was the cause not the game.

Q2 With only 3 offloads v #RSA are #NZL becoming risk averse as the #RWC2015 final comes closer? #RugbyChat

Most felt that the conditions and opposition were the reason.

Q3 A recent stat showed Cheika has doubled #AUS win %, who’s the best coach in world rugby? #RugbyChat

There were lots of choices for this one and that’s a sign of the good work that’s been done at the Rugby World Cup.

Q4 With Irish, Falcons & Warriors already in the bottom 3, are we going to see they get cut adrift? #AvivaPrem #RugbyChat

The feeling was that these three teams will be fighting it out at the bottom of the table.

Q5 Canterbury won their 7th #ITMCup in 8 years, has it become too predictable & how can it be made competitive? #RugbyChat

Most people didn’t think that there was need for a major overhaul but that maybe we should go back to 1 division.

Q6 With @connachtrugby flying high is this the season they break into the playoffs? #PRO12 #RugbyChat

Maybe just maybe it’s their year.

Q7 We are running out of time so what’s your call for the big game #NZLvAUS? #RugbyChat

The All Blacks are the favourite but not everybodies choice.

Thank you for joining in #RugbyChat we’ll do it all over again next week and stick around for an extra Q

As always it’s great getting feedback about how much you have enjoyed yourselves.

Q8 Do #NZL have an advantage a Owens reffed their QF and so are used to his style? #RWC2015 #RugbyChat

It was interesting that many people thought that there was no advantage and then other thought that there would be especially early on.

Have a watch of my weekend wrap up that is the #RugbyChat pre-show.

The #RugbyChat is a weekly Twitter chat covering the hot topics in rugby. I host it on a Tuesday at 8pm NZ time which is currently 6pm Aus East Coast, 9am South Africa and 7am UK times.
