We concentrated on the winners of the Rugby World Cup quarterfinals this week but also had a quick look at the Currie Cup and ITM Cup finals. Here are some of the best bits.
It’s great to hear that people enjoy the #RugbyChat and they were joining in early.
Q1 Some #AllBlacks are looking like occasion players, can they raise themselves to that level again? #RugbyChat
I was very much in the minority around this one.

Q2 Were #SCO hard done by as #AUS tried to give the game a away or lucky to still be in the game? #RugbyChat
There was a mixed reaction to this one and clearly it was still very raw for some.
Q3 As #ARG blitzed #IRE, are their backs better than their forwards? An amazing thing to even ask! #RugbyChat
People agreed the backs are looking good but mainly that it’s now a balanced side.

Q4 #RSA struggled to put #WAL away so do they have the class to go further? #RugbyChat
There were lots of comments of who knows which suggests hope more than expectation. The rest were negative.

Q5a #CurrieCup final is almost upon us, can the Lions be stopped? #RugbyChat
We had a bit of a mixed reaction but Lions are going to take some stopping.
Q5b #ITMCup which of the power houses #CAN or #AKL will win the day? #RugbyChat
Auckland looked to be most peoples favourites even if Canterbury finished higher in the main part of the season.
Q6 #AvivaPrem has kicked off with a big upset as Worcester turned over Saints. Can they survive? #RugbyChat
The feeling is that Warriors can stay up, so the bottom end is going to be move competitive this season.
Q7 We are running out of time what are your calls for the 2 big games #NZLvRSA & #AUSvARG? #RugbyChat
This one started one way then went the other. But the consensus appears to be a final of New Zealand + 1.
Thank you for joining #RugbyChat we’ll do it all over again next week at the same time, if you want to stick around there’s a bonus question
Great to hear that people enjoyed it.

A bonus Q 33 players have gone home injured, how do we reduce the number of injured? #RugbyChat
We had an interesting suggestion that rucking that was removed for safety is a cause of this as its slowing down ball.
But there were plenty that thought it is just a part of the game.
Also lots of side topics kicked off.
