European Rugby Challenge Cup 2014-2015 Final Prediction

We are down to the final of a competition that most teams have not had high on their priorities. But now it is the top priority for both Edinburgh and Gloucester. Here is my prediction.

First here is a link to my review of the semi-finals.

How did your semi-final predictions go?

1 from 2, so fairly average.

Edinburgh v Gloucester Rugby

Both these sides are mid-table in their domestic competitions and could meet again in the European Rugby Champions Cup playoffs to see who gets into the senior competition next year. Automatic entry is not given to the winner and they will take a place in the playoffs from the seventh place in their own league when they win this competition.

As you would expect for mid-table sides they have both been bit up and down in their form. Edinburgh got a lot of plaudits from their semi-final win over Dragons especially their scrum-half. In some ways it feels that they have played their cards a little early and can they pull off a performance like that again?

Gloucester have been looking much more like a sum of their parts, as the team has got to know each other and what their coaches want. So I’m going for a English win.

Gloucester Rugby by 10
