So I played rugby for the first time in years last night. Did OK even if my only try was ruled out for stepping on the line!
There are a few rule changes that I wasn’t aware of, you don’t have to touch the ball down for a try anymore. Sounds a bit like American Football without the pads and contact. It was really good to get a run-out and obviously the bar being open afterwards helped. I will have to cycle in future as the alcohol limits for driving have just gone down and it would be nice to have a second pint.
The run this evening though was hard work after that, so I think tomorrow will be a rest day.
Any advice on training and rest days?
